ToolsBoot is an independent website, and we want to be completely transparent about how we make money.
The short version
Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may receive a small commission from the retailer — at no additional cost to you. This is a common way for independent blogs to fund their work.
How it works
- What happens when you click a link? You are redirected to the retailer’s website (for example, Amazon). The retailer’s system records that you came from our site. If you buy something, we earn a small percentage of the sale price.
- Does it cost you more? No. The price you pay is exactly the same whether you use our link or go directly to the retailer.
- Which retailers? We are currently a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
Editorial independence
Earning a commission never changes our opinions. We do not write positive reviews in exchange for money or free products. Our recommendations are based on our own testing, research and judgment. Products we genuinely believe in get recommended — regardless of whether they are eligible for affiliate commissions.
Disclosure on individual pages
Where affiliate links appear within an article, they are clearly marked (for example, with a disclosure note and a “Check price on Amazon” box). This page serves as the site-wide disclosure required by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and by the Amazon Associates operating agreement.
